Ramkund replenished, 1.25L pilgrims take holy dip

Amid all the grievances of environment activists and local citizens against the civic administration, pilgrims offered prayers and took a holy dip in Ramkund on the auspicious occasions of Kumbh Parva and Gudi Padwa on Friday .Ramkund, the sacred bathing ghat on the Godavari, was filled with water from Gandhi Talav, wells and bore wells.

Moreover, around 50 tankers of private operators as well as the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) also supp lied water on the occasion till Friday afternoon.

Officials said the process of filling water in Ramkund through multiple sources was on till late in the evening.

Around 1.25 lakh pilgrims from different parts of the country turned up to take a holy dip in Ramkund.
