Niya Sharma replaces Priyamvada Kant on Tenali Rama

A few days ago, BT told you about Priyamvada Kant quitting the TV show, Tenali Rama, as she doesn’t want to play a mom on screen.

Well, we now have it that the makers of the show have finalised her replacement. Niya Sharma, who was last seen on Vani Rani, will essay the character of Tenali’s wife, Sharda.

Unlike Priyamvada, Niya seems to have no qualms about playing a mom on screen. She says, “After playing a negative character on my last show, Vani Rani, I wanted to take up something different. And, what better than a comedy show! I have no issues playing a mother, because almost every actress ends up doing that on TV these days. In fact, I’m excited to play the part, as it’s a different kind of historical comedy show.”
